Tommy Panico

Tommy is an astoundingly, well-rounded candidate looking to break into the tech sales industry. Tommy attended the University of Massachusetts-Lowell where he was a 4-year division-one hockey player and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Balancing a full workload of being a student athlete at the highest of levels comes with an extremely high level of discipline and commitment daily. Tommy has always been a hungry and humble individual with an extremely high chip on his shoulder, which has allowed him to reach this level of success. He is looking forward to transferring these skills and qualities into the sales world.

After graduation, Tommy was fortunate enough to play 3 1/2 years of professional hockey, living in different cities within the United States and Canada. This was until he had a career ending injury while playing for the Tampa Bay Lightnings minor league affiliate team. After his playing days were over, Tommy got involved in the Aviation industry where he had a variety of roles and responsibilities, wearing many different hats daily. Tommy currently does the back end work for a company who sells gulfstream jet parts all over the world. Being on the business development and project managing side of the business, Tommy is responsible for overseeing, planning and managing all jet products. Dealing with hundreds of thousands of dollars and high-level individuals on a daily basis makes this a high-pressure atmosphere, which Tommy has enjoyed- similar to his hockey days. Much like hockey, this business is extremely high-results driven and being able to perform under pressure is a must. Luckily, Tommy is used to succeeding in this type of environment. Building and forming relationships with people daily is a crucial skill Tommy has always had, which is an important attribute for his success in a future sales role.

Working with the sales team on a daily basis, Tommy believes his true career calling is within a sales position where he can show his work ethic, competitiveness and his desire to get better and improve every single day. He plans to leverage his experience in both his professional and hockey background that allowed him to reach the highest of levels through hard work, dedication, and discipline. Tommy understands the work and sacrifice it takes to set you apart from others and the process it takes to do so. “Embracing the grind” is a statement Tommy lives by and has done so his whole life, where he has dealt with a great amount of adversity and always finds a way to prevail. Tommy is also extremely coachable and eager to learn new things everyday. Being a part of a team with great leadership and camaraderie is something he is looking forward to. Tommy is excited for this new journey and can’t wait to join a great company and deliver at a high level.
